Extreme Homebrew Challenge

*These are just a few of our personal favs. Full list served coming soon!*

The Beer: Scarlet Fire
The Homebrewer: George Hummel
Description: “An English Ruby Mild hopped with Argentina Cascade and a late kettle addition of demerara sugar and dried chipotle peppers. The beer was then ‘dry peppered’ during secondary ferment. The smoked peppers bring a wonderful note to the beer.”

The Beer: Hop Goggles Belgian IPA
The Homebrewer: Chris Corval
Description: “This beer is a dry-hopped cross between an American IPA and a Belgian Ale. It’s 5.5% ABV, and 60 IBUs. Fermentables are Wheat, Pilsner, Pale Vienna, and Munich malts, as well as candy sugar. Hops are Amarillo, Simcoe, Glacier, and Palisade. Traditional Belgian yeast for added complexity.”

The Beer: Grainstar Brewing Company Mint Chocolate
The Homebrewer(s): Grainstar (Mike Pearlman, Ari Rom, Howard Ross, Jack Attack and Company)
Description: “Newest crazy offering from the Homebrewers who think they are an actual brewing company. This beer was made with no hops utilizing the bitterness of the mint and the dark chocolate to balance the maltiness of the grain bill”
